What’s the highest and best use of your time as a medical group leader?
Is it devoting time to your group’s business and its future or is it delivering patient care?
Any one of your group’s members should excel in terms of patient care – that’s one of the reasons, yes, just one of the reasons, you hired them.
But very few of them could perform the role of group leader. That’s what you are supposed to be doing.
So, why aren’t you allocating your time to leadership?
It might be your choice to do otherwise, or it might be the only option available to you as a result of the group’s choice.
Either way, its not your highest and best use and it’s not the group’s either.
