Develop your group's internal resources. For example, make certain that your group is tightly structured to keep its weakest members from splintering under pressure. In turbulent times, individuals are often too concerned about their own survival to be focused on the group's success.

A few weeks ago, I attended a funeral. They didn't even understand who their customers were (in the car business, manufacturers hold to the belief that the dealers are their customers). But when people stop buying cars, the dealers stop buying cars and the whole system slows or shuts down.
